W in COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!! really affect life?

I was just wondering how badly a "W" for withdraw in a community college is....It's also the only thing I have on my college transcript...

It seems to me that you wouldn't be affected that much since if you don't send that transcript, colleges won't see it.. However, I HAVE been told that you MUST send everything you did on your apps to colleges during the 4 years of high school.

Lastly, if I take more classes (college) and pass on them, could I not present this in my college apps and present it after I get accepted somewhere for credit?

The schools I'm looking at are UCs and especially University of Chicago (flippin reach)

Did I screw myself over??

Basic stats:
3.798W GPA, 3.444UW
2000-2200(lucky) projection on new SAT
Combined 5 APs, project 3-4 on the tests
Chinese 4, French 2 (2 years each)
Studied abroad in China 9th grade (editor in chief of yearbook and newspaper)
Single mother with cancer taking care of us (father abroad)
Crappy ECs, 200hrs community service, Football 1 year, a few clubs (not very active)

PLEASE POST STUFF!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks.

one more thing... my essays will be amazing since i have a strong background in writing (journalism and stuff)

and im having them reviewed by my friends from harvard, ucb, cornell, etc...

I dont really think the W will affect you too much, as long as you take some more college classes to balance it out. Colleges will probably think its a fluke or that you had some personal issues. You're GPA and AP tests are kind of weak to get you into UChi or a High UC...

UChi- Definite reach
Berk- Reach
UCLA- Slight Reach
UCSD- +50% Chance Admittance
Other UCs- Match

The one year of studying abroad will help you, especially if you write about it.

come on people!! feedback... feedback...

are u in colege right now?

that CC class was in addition to high school. i'm currently a junior second semester
