I applied! Curious as to when you all think the decision notifications will be released? Also, what prompt did you write about? I saw that being answered in a prior year’s post and thought it was awesome to see how they highlighted everyone’s interests!
I checked thread for last year’s process, and it looks like the applicants got emails the first Sunday of February!

anyone know the date of the weekend?
The competition (not always on a weekend) has afaik always been held in early March.
I’m pretty sure it’s March 5-7
Does anyone know if I applied RD but also applied for the Johnson Scholarship if I will be notified by the RD date or the JS date?
@rockyc the letter sent to Johnson scholar semifinalists will have some language along the lines of “if you don’t misbehave at the competition, you can consider yourself admitted”
Has anyone gotten a notice they are a semifinalist ?

Actually, I just checked website for something different, and the banner on homepage says Johnson applicants can check that portal at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, Feb. 3! Good luck everyone!
Is this for Early Decision folks? My son applied for RD but also applied for Johnson scholarship, would that count for him as well? Thanks! Good luck!
Both regular and early decision applicants should find out Friday apparently
Morehead-Cain and Johnson weekends overlap. Is this normal?
@sc00per88, I wonder how that works with RD, considering my son hasn’t heard if he got accepted or not, and if he is “qualified” for the Johnson scholarship, then I would assume he got accepted. Does anybody know how many finalist are picked for this scholarship? TIA!
@Radeckiva according to W&L website, 40 awarded annually. When my D went to the competition back in 2011, about 200 semifinalists were invited.
My son qualified for Semifinalist for Richmonds Scholar and they said that didn’t mean he was guaranteed to be admitted. His formal admission would come at the same date as all other regular admitted students .
