Does anyone know if W&M is one of those schools that send you the huge package of things later on? I just want to know what to expect.

It’s a 9X12ish envelope with a reddish folder inside. The envelope says welcome across the front bottom.

So is it BC, HC, ND…and now W&M too? you get around lol. Take the free ride from fordham…but not nova?

Imadad - great username.

I think the order would be ND, W&M, then the others.

I know on the william and mary facebook page they said they already have the mail ready to be sent out this week

what is the link to the facebook page?

Jmannequin2010…did you receive the award letter?

No, not yet at least. They were processing my financial aid information about a week ago, so I’m assuming it will come with the acceptance letter or around the same time. I haven’t received anything from William and Mary saying I’ve been accepted, so there is a chance I’ve been denied or weightlisted…I just thought the indications from Financial Aid sounded promising. I better not overanalyze it and just wait a little while longer :)

D got asked for more financial info…and then got her acceptance shortly after. I would guess that it is a good sign. Good luck!

WM Admission is mailing out decision letters this afternoon. The wait is over! Class of 2014 is selected!

*hyperventilates

Yup, it’s true! W&M undergrad admissions website:

Great, now I won’t be able to sleep for the next two days.

My daughters are anxiously awaiting the envelopes, although their chances aren’t that great given that they are 1) out of state, and 2) female. I think that their grades and test scores are reasonably good, but may not be stellar enough considering the odds. OH well!

My son is very anxious about this as well since he is also out-of-state. He just loved the school after his visit last summer.

ugg i’m out of state too…and a female…this sucks lol

D is in (ED), hope you all get good news this week. Being from Virginia and knowing that she will be going to an excellent school and we will not go broke helping her through college is a great feeling!

What do you think are the chances that I will get in if I am a female out of state and on the waitlist for UVA? And is getting into W & M harder than UVA?

Does anyone know if decisions are sent via first class mail or priority mail?

My D was accepted through the early decision process. We live in Virginia and received her “big envelope” two days after Admissions mailed the letters. Some people actually received their letters the next day and some didn’t hear for 3-4 days. We still have the envelope and it looks like first class (it doesn’t say priority mail–just a stamp with “US Postage” underneath).

pwnzal–W&M and UVA are equally difficult to get into as far as I know. I would say if you were waitlisted at UVA, then you are certainly qualified! Good luck!
