Hi Everyone! I didn't see any other threads for transfer students so I thought I'd make this thread for anyone who is applying to transfer to W&M for the spring 2014 semester. I'm curious about the stats of people applying to transfer and hoping to keep in touch about admissions progress and decisions.

I'm from Pennsylvania, and I know admission is extremely competitive for OOS, but I'm hopeful!

i have a 3.7 gpa, i am OOS as well. why do you say that its extremely difficult of OOS to get accepted because i have never heard of that? the percent of OOS students is about 35 percent.

Well I saw that they get about 300 applicants for spring and admit only 70, and I know they have a preference toward in-state students. So I’m just assuming based on those statistics that it’s pretty competitive!

Hi everyone!
I transferred to WM as a new sophomore last year and since I know decisions are coming out soon I wish you all the best of luck! WM is a wonderful place and an incredibly unique institution. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have regarding transferring and adjusting to life at WM, particularly as you start hearing back (a little about me- I’m out of state, a female, and transferred from another liberal arts college with a 3.3 gpa.)

I also wanted to just put it out there- and I know this is a bit early, but still- that if you do get in (fingers crossed!) and are looking for housing, I’m trying to find someone to take over my room in an off campus house. It’s much cheaper than living on campus and my housemates are super social/friendly.
