Hey guys, after all the chaos the past week or so I'm left with a number of rejections, waitlisted at UVA and acceptances from Miami, BC and W&M. I am a business major, likely in Finance, Marketing or Economics. I plan on remaining on the waitlist at UVA but cannot decide what my next best option is. I received a 29K/year presidential scholarship from Miami and love everything about the school (sports, weather, campus etc) but am worried that its academic reputation is below that of BC. At BC, I would likely be paying full price but I have been accepted into The Carroll School of Management Honors Program, a program that seems to have excellent opportunities and connections to employers post-graduation. At the moment, I view BC and Miami as better options than W&M. Is there anything I may not know about W&M that may influence my thoughts? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

BC & W&M seem to be very similar on many levels, but how is Miami a better school than William and Mary for an undergrad Business major???

Thanks for info GoogleBerry. I am not instate for W&M, so it is not quite that cheap. Miami is actually my lowest cost option as I have received a big scholarship and other perks. I can probably pay for grad school with the money I would save by going to Miami. According to the business school dean at Miami, they are on an upward curve. Donna Shalala has Miami moving up in the rankings. I am fortunate to have three great schools to choose from. Visited all the campuses and they all have something unique and wonderful to them.

… lol. Have you ever heard someone describe their school as falling? Everyone is always rising, it seems.

you have great options… choose the one that feels like home. The ability to pay for grad school with money saved is a big thing to consider. best of luck!
