Hello all,
I was wondering how bad a W, withdrawal, from honors gen. chem. will look on my transcript. I am a first semester freshman and I withdrew from chem not because it was too difficult, but i had 21 credits ate the time and did not have enough time. My first term gpa will be most likely a 3.9/4.0 with two honors classes, molecular bio and an anthropology class. I am just going to take regular gen. chem. next term. Will med schools look down upon this?

... what's the problem? Your grades look just fine.

If next semester you want to drop down to regular Gen. Chem, I think that would be okay, too. However, sometimes Honors classes can be easier, so just keep that in mind.

Dropping an honors course to take the regular sequence? Obviously that will make them think you thought the honors course was too difficult. Since that's the case, I think it's pretty clear they'll look down on it. I don't think your reasons are too solid to explain your situation at interviews. If the amount of credits was really the problem, you would take the honors course next term. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I think the answer is pretty obvious.

If your decision is made already, what exactly are you asking from us?
