i am a freshman and have decided to withdraw from a class. how will a w on my transcript look? keep in mind it has no effect on my gpa of 3.8+. do you think i will need to write an addendum to explain this?

I believe this has been addressed already --use the Search option on this forum.

Nonetheless, it will prevent you from getting into any law school in the country. The ABA established in their Bylaws that no student with a W on their transcripts shall be accepted. sighs

Good luck!

...On a serious note, just don't make it a trend and you should be fine. Make sure your profile is good to outstanding, depending on where you hope to attend.

An addendum is always a good thing. Just don't send it with your application. Send it separately, and make it brief and concise. Hope this helps!

By the way, doing some research on the side never hurts :)
