I'm currently a second year engineering major and I want to get into grad school. I'm currently getting a c in one of my classes ... Well I'm definately going to keep trying and see what happens next midterm and finals but if I don't do well, which would look better? A C or a W?

I know that I'm not guranteed in getting an A next time around but I really think I can because my current professor blows...

Depends, if you can fit the class in your schedule next semester without too many problems and if you think that next time around you WILL get a better grade.

Personally I was taking a class, which I didn't like and wasn't doing too well in. I decided not to withdraw because of the lab hours I had put in, but now I kinda wish I did.

take the c and move on. trust me, it would really suck to have to retake a class. I personally know this one kid in my thermodynamics class who is retaking the class because he got a C+ last year. (offered once a year). This time around he got caught cheating and got an F.
