I don't care if you think I am lying or not, and to ADAitfliesitdies, I would love to sue that ***hole, but my mom really would make that decision...
I acually talked to her about it, but she thinks sueing is the wrong thing to do.

Sawhney: Having your wisdom teeth out at 13 is unusual - but it would depend on the development of your teeth (in most only the crown would have formed by this stage), and your jaw growth. Having an oral surgeon in use physical restraint against a minor so that he could perform 4 surgeries without sedation or local anesthetic because he "ran out of it" is incredible.

Well I am telling the truth, I am not here to argue, only to praise the lord ;)

Yes, my teeth have developped and my jaw faster then normal. I am bigger then most of the guys at West Point already, haha.

Maybe your parents just need to get better dental.

Lol I've asked enough, I only have my mom, she wants a different dentist but she said she didn't decide or something.

i still stand by a malpractice lawsuit. seven figures baby. feed FOBbits. sue people.

This has officially turned into the dumbest line of posts in CC history.

This "kid" is an idiot.

I am not the one that decided on this, it was my moms idea...I had no idea that was going to happen. You guys must be a bunch of wussies if you think its that unbelievable, because that happened to me. When you say "kid" do you not think I am a kid?

I didn't want to say anything...but who cares?! I've seen this bantering going on for a while...and it reminds me of my arguements with my little brother and sister. Absolutely, positively useless and unfounded, ya know??

Sahwney...guess it depends on your doctor. My l'il bro got dental work once and apparently didn't get numbed too well and said it hurt to high heaven. My li'l sis for some reason isn't fazed by novocaine, and when she had an abcess she just had to fight the pain while my father held her down and the dentist did his thing (She was 9 or 10 at the time).

Lol. And BTW, I just went to the dentist for the first time yesterday. Its overated. They stick some shots in you and go to work. I must say the novocaine took a good 4-5 hours to wear off which bothered the heck out of me. Other than that, it was a piece of cake. I just let the doctor drill away, fill, and prod wherever he wanted. The second shot he gave me numbed my eye as well, which caused me to shed a tears involuntarily. I guess I can understand why some individuals fear of the dentist as you are just sort of trusting this guy. (I thought about Final Destination 2, and sighed with relief seeing no floating objects above me, pigeons, or fish tanks) The good news is I have no bottom wisdom teeth, and the top ones are "impacted" (which I thought was a bad thing), and the dentist said that means they don't have to come out.

[Like anyone cares about my dentist visit...but HEY, it was exciting for me! (Now I sound like a 14 year old myself...to clarify I am not)] In case your wondering, my family only visits the doctors/dentists/etc. when life or limb is at risk. So I'm going back and getting all this stuff done...and immunizations...whew, six in one day. They didn't hurt going in, but the next day my muscles were sore. Glad I don't have any pushups!

I've had 12 teeth pulled, and novacaine takes care of that.

However, my dad had his wisdom teeth out (back in the day) under a local (nova) and told me it wasn't a very pleasant experience. It wasn't really the pain (since there was none) it was just the sound and feeling of this guy opening your mouth up so a canteloupe could fit in, then knawing and digging his way deep into his gums to get out the teeth.

/dumbest line of discussion ever
/Sawhney's posting privileges

Get a life Tactical and stop judging kids :)

I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but.... if you have impacted wisdom teeth and it causes discomfort on and off, is it recommended to have them all out>

Generally you're going to get them all out. First, while they're in there they might as well take them all. Second, you're going to be in some discomfort so you might as well only go through it once. Believe me, you don't want to do it twice.

It's really not as bad as people here make it out to be. If I hadn't already had mine out I'd be freaking out. Find an ortho surgeon with great credentials and recommendations from others, and you'll be fine. My guy was amazing and put me totally at ease, plus he was great at what he did. Recommended by my dentist (whom I trust) and by my sister (who had hers done by him) and others. So, don't worry and just get it done. Personally I think this is one of those things where I'd rather get it done privately than by the Armed Services, but that's your call.

I am seriously glad we didnt have this thread before I got my four removed. I would have been seriously stressed over something that just isnt that bad. When I got mine out I was given laughing gas, local anesthetic, and something through my IV (dont know the medical term). I was laughing while I heard the crunch of my teeth being taken out and happily went through the operation. If anyone is reading this going oh **** I dont want mine taken out, just ignore the thread. All thats going to happen is your mouth will be sore after the operation and you will treat it with health amounts of Vicodin.

This is possibly one of the dumbest threads ever created. Why can't we celebrate the graduating class or talk about R Day, talk about what we're excited for, maybe god forbid talk about what people are a little nervous for. So what every year someone is going to have a bad experience at the doctor. It happens, its a fact of life. In almost exactly a month 20+ of us on the forum are off to beginning our quest to becoming officers, this week some of our members are graduating, some are soon going to Buckner. I say we end a thread that has been beaten to death and go back to asking dumb questions more directly related to the Army.

no- we must continue to beat this dead horse. this must be the largest thread ever.

Not really, look at the USNA threads. They go on for pages upon pages. Let it die, seriously.

Well as the commercials explain. Annapolis has over 50 000 applicants of course the Army thread can't contend.

Really? they accept 13% of that? I hope not, or their plebe class will be quite large. Their acceptance rate is 13%, WP's is 14%. Big difference...I think not. I am proud to be part of the 19% that turn down my appointment there:) They almost had me hooked, ya know, but then i got brains, and chose the best military school in the United States (hint: its not what the movie says!) Don't know where they get their statistics...they must be counting everyone who goes to their admissions web page and looks at the material even once. You know the way the scientologists say anyone who has ever been to their website is one in order to claim they have such great numbers.....(lets not compare tom cruise and friends to the navy, lol)

I'm taking out all 4 on tuesday...going under...costing me a billion quadrillion fillion zillion dollars.
