<p>No. Each tax year, employees receive W2's, detailing their income and the amounts the employer paid out for federal, state, Social Security and Medicare taxes. Self employed people receive a Form 1099-MISC from every organization that paid them $400 or more during the tax year.</p>
<p>So, to make it clear, in kb's case he can ignore the request for W2's because there won't be any. Just send in the other stuff you have that they ask for.</p>
