Wabash College Question

A young man I know is interested in Wabash College in Indiana.

He is a junior at a Catholic, college preparatory high school. He is also in the top quarter of his class with a combined math/verbal SAT score 1260 (slightly better in verbal than math. I don't know what his writing score is). He is involved in student government, yearbook, drama, etc. He is strong in history, English, and foreign languages, less strong in science and mathematics. He will probably major in one of the social sciences or humanites, mostly likely history or political science or English. He doesn't have any real firm career plans.

His parents are wondering if Wabash would be good fit for their son. After looking over the college website, the parents are wondering if their son would fit in at Wabash. He grew up in an urban area in the northeast and has volunteered for Democratic candidates. The parents have an impression that Wabash is small/midwester/preppy/Protestant/Republican (but there is nothing wrong with that!).

Any feedback that I can pass on to the parents would be appreciated. Thanking everyone in advance

When I was looking at schools, Wabash used to tout the percentage of students who marticulated after visiting the campus (I forgot the numbers).

Also, he should probably contact students who belong to the politically liberal student groups.
