Wabash VS Illinois Wesleyan VS Centre

give me some advice about which one to attend...
i have not visited these three
based on the information in the internet, i can not make my decision
so, please give me some advice...
thank you!!!

help me...please!

What kind of campus atmosphere are you looking for? All of these are good schools - if you are planning on grad school you may want to go with Wabash - they have a great track record.

thank you jenbarlow ~
but I am concerned about the location
other people say that there are many opportunities around illinois wesleyan which is close to Chicago

Illinois Wesleyan is about two hours from Chicago, but it is located in Bloomington/Normal, which is a pretty large area in its own right. Illinois State University is about a mile away, so in a sense you get both the small, idyllic liberal arts college at Wesleyan with the options of a bigger city/more students to meet down the way.
Wesleyan is also a little unusual for liberal arts colleges in that it offers business and nursing. Good music and theatre programs.
The facilities are beautiful; some people call it "the country club." Lots of people double-major, study abroad, get internships, etc. A really nice school. Supposed to be more "preppy" than "quirky."
Don't know anything about the other two really -- I think I heard Centre is pure liberal arts and has LOTS of frats/sororities.

dbwes, thank you for your information~

Centre is a very greek school. Around 50% of students go greek. It also has a lot of odd traditions. There is one where everyone has to run around the campus naked or so I hear.

What is important to you in choosing a school? Centre is rated as one of the top LACs. It is only a short distance from Louisville or Lexington, and 2 hours from Cincinnati -- what "opportunities" would you be looking for in a larger area? More information might be yield more help.

Also, I don't believe any campus would have a requirement for their rituals -- many campuses have (non-sanctioned) events that are sans clothing... Nothing very unique there. You should be able to get the % involved in the Greek system from the websites of each school.

Both IWU and Centre are know from good merit aid -- not sure about Wabash.

Good luck.

i'd like to have a job in big company
i hope to earn back the money for my four education as soon as possible
and then take further study in graduate school
so which school has more opportunities?

is wabash men only? if so, THAT would be relevent to OP.

idic5, what does OP mean???

OP=Original Poster
enin, maybe you should e-mail Career Services offices at these schools, ask how many companies recruit at each, how many students procure internships, etc.

Wabash is men only and very small, ~900 students. About 250 students in the freshman class. It is a beautiful campus. My son wouldn't even get out of the car but it would be the perfect place for someone looking for what Wabash offers. He said he didn't want to go to a college smaller than his high school.
