So, with a couple of weeks left, I'm really bored and decided to ask this to satisfy curiosity.

The box for updates on the midyear report is pretty vague... lots of potential for offbeat responses. So, now that we are well past the deadline for submission, I can ask this without being suspected of a really dumb attempt at plagiarism.
Did anyone put down anything goofy, or an incredible quote that's just all-around super?

In my midyear report, after talking about all the not-fun, resume-padding stuff I've been up to, I basically mentioned how a few of my fellow nerds and I decided to create a comic book-style continuity where everyone we know, including ourselves, are characters based on themselves, and we imagined fictional biographies and codenames and powers and stuff like that for each of us. Now we're using our free time to write the adventures of our hero/general selves in this universe, living through stuff like leading humanity through an alien invasion, fighting in a civil war, dealing with a conspiracy to kill all heroes, etc. It is, no surprise, an absolute blast.

My character has the same name as me, but his codename is Impulse and his powers consist of water and air manipulation. And uber hacking skillz. And tactical genius.
(In my character's faux history I mentioned he went to MIT for both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees :D)

Anyone else decide to have a little fun with the updates box?

LOL at least you’re being honest… although I doubt that’s the kind of update they intended ahahahahahahaha

I just put in a quote:
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.” ~Og Mandino

What if I wrote "I’m heavily influenced and trying to be as cool as this guy [YouTube - Crazy Indian Video… Buffalaxed!](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube) ? " ;P

JUST KIDDING GUYS, I had A-Level results to mention, I received the results after deadlines so thought the midyear report would be the best idea to do so. But I think I could have written a joke or something.

I mentioned a bunch of updates about swimming and acadec and stuff, including an awesome joke and quote :)

Joke - Also, one day, when my friends and I were making some sandwiches, someone mentioned our calc test. So we decided to approach our sandwiches mathematically. We derived some peanuts, grapes, and wheat, integrated them over the interval from the counter to the plate. Finally, we caused the limit of the volume of the sandwiches to approach zero with our great hunger. It was the best calc problem ever, and an even tastier solution.

Quote - “But remember, the brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” - Randy Pausch

^ mid year report is an opportunity to provide a timely grade entry and any updates on accomplishments / changes that are relevant to the student’s candidacy. Perhaps the student earned some type of award / academic recognition, varsity letter, selected as national scholarship finalist etc. You are asked to check a box that you have responded truthfully, or else, as it is stated that not doing so could cause a withdrawal of an admissions offer, later. If Pi day is when reg. admissions are announced, I would gauge that any time economized in this process between now and then (to include financial aid submissions due 2/15) will help generate complete offers of admission accompanied by financial aid awards, on that day.
