Wahh.. Csun denied help.

i'm a community college student trying to transfer to csun for health administration..

so i just logged onto my student portal and i found out that i was denied from csun.. and apparently i didn't meet the requirements.. i have a gpa of 3.44 (requirement is 2.00) and i completed all of my english composition, critical thinking, and oral communications with an A.. except for math i got a c (i suck at math lol).. did all my transferable classes... i'm just freaking out right now because i'm confused as to why i was denied =( i just wanted some insight from someone that's been through it.... if i call them will it help? ahhhhhhhh..

im surprised to hear you got rejected from csun. im sorry to hear you didnt get in with good gpa, i got in and i have a ~2.8 and im pretty sure people from my HS (in service area) got in with even lower.

are you sure you calculated your gpa right? or did u do really bad on the SAT/ACT? i really dont know why they would reject you.

This is odd, because there is nothing on CSUN or CSU sites indicating that your major is impacted. You may want to call them and ask if anything is missing from your application.

You do need to be an upper division transfer (60 semester or 90 quarter units), as CSUN is not taking lower division transfers.

something must be wrong with your application or you don’t have enough units. CSUN is majorly easy to get into. In fact, I think it’s way toooooo easy. They need to raise their academic standards or risk being stuck in perpetual mediocrity.

Yes, call them. Did they have your transcript?
You can also check with your CC transfer coordinator, if you have trouble getting someone on the phone at CSUN.

Did it say your admission was denied and then gave 3 reasons/qualifications that you did not meet? If so, are your 60 transferrable units still in progress this semester? Meaning after this current semester you will have 60 units and completed all the CSU ge breadth of classes. If that is the case, then you just need to send over from your current community college proof of all this and CSUN should change your admission decision to accepted with all of that proof. I would call the admissions office just to be sure.
