^ Not me. I corrected that the second I posted it! Haha. Google Chrome’s spellcheck feature has spoiled me!

UVAorBust, try reading your papers out loud. That will reveal many grammatical errors.

Yea, I’m horrible at grammar. I’ve had 2 different tutors in my life for it but it honestly hasn’t worked. As a matter of fact, I called a tutor today to help me with all my essays.

guys errors in punctuation or whatever are not grammatical mistakes. If it doesn’t affect IPA transcription, it’s not an issue with grammar.

I also think making a thread about your standardised test scores is a little…excessive.

You’d think french, but I’ve made a thread about my test score since I got my first SAT back in March. BTW guys, I had a meeting my new councilor. I’ve given up on my reccomendation. I told the guy I wanted to go to UVA and he didn’t know what school it was… He looked at this stupid scattergram and said, “ohh that looks like a hard school”. Im thinking to myself, my parents pay for this school every year and they hire this councilor? What is going on?

^ Take a breath about the counselor. They don’t have to write a recommendation about UVa. Their recommendation is for you. It has been pointed out that notes may have been left for them to use, they may talk to instructors. Many students are accepted every year from schools that do not have dedicated GCs. Administrators simply fill them out. I understand given your education you expect more. You have no idea the quality or impact of the letter. Try to move past it and work on things you can control.

Take a step back for just one day and try not to obsess on this process. Tell family and friends what you appreciate in them. Hug your mother! There have been a number of tragic events over the past week. I’m not lecturing you. Admissions is your ‘job’ right now. I’m suggesting a few deep breaths and a center of gravity check. Life is what happens while you’re making plans.
