<p>I'm currently waitlisted for 3 classes that I absolutely must take. Is there a way to get these classes even if no one drops out of them? Should I email the professors now, or wait before school starts?</p>
<p>Wait. Everyone has told me that even though registration opens Aug 1, people don’t start moving things around until around move-in time and the first week of classes (when people realize they hate their prof/the workload/the walk/the time). Plus, if you’re an in-coming first year, you have four years to take all the classes you need. It will work out!</p>
<p>Things may still work out as people shuffle classes. If not grab a course action form, show up with it on the first day of class and see if the professor will sign it. If they do, you’re in waitlist or not.</p>
