I recently applied for a job at Panera Bread a week ago online. My father loosely knows the manager so he went in to ask about the status of my application (I didn't know that he did, I would have rather went there my self). Anyways, the manager said that I should call back in two weeks. Which I feel is a pretty long time, that would be in july and I haven't even had an interview yet. Should I just apply to other jobs while I wait or drop Panera Bread altogether. There's a pretty good Marble Slab Creamery and a Bed and Bath Body Shop. Is there anything that I can do while I wait.

Yes, keep applying for jobs as none of them are a sure thing until they’ve told you that you are hired. Jobs are not easy to come by, so be as proactive as you can be.

Apply more. If they say to check back in two weeks, chances are they will not accept you. Panera bread isnt that hard to find qualified applicants. But you apply more so that you’ll have more options; if Pan doesnt choose u then you’ll have something to fall back on

Wait 2 weeks on an application haha? I look for jobs and fill out applications even if I’m already working. Don’t wait on anyone cause they won’t wait on you, that’s what I’ve learned.

Last summer I interviewed for a job at this cafe and they said they would be opening in one week. So I did nothing, and waited and waited, then I was told they failed the inspection, so I waited more, and then 2 weeks later, the manager told me they have decided to relocate.

Soooo yea, I wouldn’t wait on the job for whatever reason. Because what’s the worst that can happen? You’ll have another job while the Panera Bread one becomes available, and when it is available, you can quit the one you already have.
