<p>I can pretty much update Harvard right now, and I called and he made it seemed imperative that they receive the updates to my deferred application by Tuesday, but that's the day of the AMC 12A. Should I just mail another letter telling them my AMC score (unofficial) on Tuesday afternoon?</p>
<p>Send the update now without the AMC stuff. If the score is good, send an additional update later with the official score.</p>
<p>Do I have to mail (priority, overnight, whatever) the AMC score one? That would be very expensive.</p>
<p>Also, what should I put in the letter? Just awards? No essays/letter of committment?</p>

<p>(well, i dont know if they accept emails, especially since it will be late, but if you could email, its the smartest move because it is fast and much cheaper than sending in stuff through first class priority mail. (talk about a run on sentance!)</p>

<p>Personally, I would recommend simply a straightforward update on your recent accomplishments. A letter of committment is virtually meaningless to them, and an extra essay should be separate, and only sent if it's a superior piece of writing and says something important about you that you haven't said before.</p>
<p>I actually ended up adding a few sentences about the reasons I want to go there, including continuing work with my current mentor.</p>
<p>Wait are tomorrow and Feb 15 the only dates to take the AMC 12? I don't think my school is doing it tomorrow, and I'll be out of the country Feb 15. ...what a shame...w/e</p>

<p>Question: I scored 123 last year. Should I report it if I get lower this year? It's possible...AMC scores are so volatile.</p>
<p>I wouldn't report it if it's lower than 123... and this is what I'm doing right now instead of studying for the AMC - posting on CC about it.</p>
