hey!
I'm currently enrolled at a CC with only one semester left towards getting my associate degree in liberal arts. I want to transfer to a 4-year school, with a curriculum based primarily on science.

If I follow the course requirements for getting my A.A. degree, I will miss lots of science credits, that I could otherwise transfer.
Should I just pack now on (cheaper) science credits, for my last semester and transfer them to my next school, or should I get my A.A. degree, and then see what happens?

I mean, what's wiser in transferring to a four-year college: having an associate degree at the time, or bringing as many transferable credits that will help towards your bachelor? What would a college prefer in a candidate?

What are you planning to major in? What sciences will you have if you follow the course requirements for your AA degree?

(I am retitling your thread a little bit, so people will have a better idea of your qx and the right posters will come on and respond. I also think you can probably do a search on this forum for "associates degree" and see previous discussions of this topic.)

What 4-year schools are you considering?

I think, but am not sure, that you want to choose your courses more toward what would fit the requirements for the major at your intended 4-year school rather than for the AA degree.

Do you have good advisers at your school re transferring to 4-year schools and what have they said?
