I'm trying to figure out where Im going to go. I really want to go to wake forest but right now Im on the waiting list. I hope I get in b/c I talked to the band director and he said he was in great need of trombone players; hopefully his email to the admissions will help me. Any idea of if I got a shot?

Also I have a question for anyone who knows about the business school at wake. If I decide to do the extra year to get my MSA in accounting how much more work per year is that towards the end and I thought I read somewhere that if you do that wake would help pay for your fifth year. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. If I don't get in to wake I already to in to Appalachian which still has a good business program but its still not like wakes probably is.

first of all, wake have a very good business program. On US rankings its #15 I think. Rankings really shouldn't matter though. I personally think the program is good because of all the Calloway students I know are lined up with good internships and awesome jobs after they graduate. I went to a dinner with some senior callowayguys in the first month of school... all already had jobs with big companies ( ex. bank of america).

Don't know how much the band directors requests will matter. Sometimes it comes into play and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not in admissions so I can't tell you how it works. I can tell u that college admissions in general is difficult and that it is no reflection on your self worth...
