Wait, how do you convert GPA onto a 4.0 scale if our school does "in-between" GPA?

Ok so for our school, our GPA scale goes up to 6. However, we also do "in between" decimal values for our GPA. Thus a 95 in an AP class is a 5.5 and a 97 is a 5.7 and a 83 is a 4.3 and such (what sucks is that activities like band and dance are 4.0 regular)

I have received all A's on all of my grades but since our school does in between GPA, my unweighted GPA is a 3.849, which means that I get about an average of 98.5 in all of my classes.

However I heard that in other schools any type of A is the same number value.

Therefore when I am applying or scholarships and college, if I put down 3.849, this would apply to admission officials that I got some B's when in fact I don't have any if we're going by the "letter grade only value" instead of in between decimals.

So should I put 4.0 down on my scholarship apps for unweighted GPA since I got all A's or the unweighted GPA my school has given me that may mislead some colleges.

Put down what your school gave you, undoubtedly. Colleges will see your transcript and get a profile from their school/explanation from the counselor of your school’s unique way of determining GPA.

Put down 4.0 for unweighted. Don’t put a weighted GPA for an unweighted GPA. If they ask for a weighted GPA, put that down.

Mill, there’s a difference between scholarship apps and college apps. Scholarship apps will often not look at your transcript.

Qwerty is right. All As = 4.0.

At my school, normal classes are on a 4.3 scale, Honors on a 4.7, and AP on a 5.0

^Well that makes sense.
