So I always thought we were only able to send in one because on the form itself it says give it to "a" teacher, but now I'm looking at all the EA results and everyone sent in two recs! I can't find any other info on the Georgetown app website (of course). Now I'm freaking out... I only gave one of my teachers the Georgetown forms! :(

Don’t worry about it–I only sent one recommendation in, too. I got into SFS yesterday :)

How do you send them? by mail?

I only sent one and got into the College Monday.

Yeah, and also, the app says to send in only junior or senior year teachers, but I sent in a sophomore year teacher’s as well because my counselor somewhat hinted that it was really good. (I chose not to see it.) And I got into the college on Monday too. So, basically, if anyone’s worried about that, I think that, as long as you have one junior or senior year teacher, you could send in a sophomore or freshman year teacher’s almost as a supplemental one. At worst, they choose not to read it. It must not count against you though if I still got in.

Sorry, I know that wasn’t the original question, but I was worried about that when I was applying, so I just wanted to share.

Okay thanks for the answers! haha now I have to go bug my teachers to actually finish writing my recs

I sent 2 recs from junior year teachers and was deferred EA. Could I send a 3rd one from a senior year teacher for RD or is that too much?

^ I sent in 4 letters of rec–two were supplements and they were all unique. I got in.

What will the third rec offer that the other two did not? It’s quite possible that all three will say essentially the same thing. It might be more valuable to send a rec from an advisor in one of your ECs or from someone who knows you outside the school setting.
