I feel like it is, but the feedback I've been getting is not as positive as I expected. It's not like I'm looking at Ivies or anything, I'm looking at pretty selective LAC's but I thought that that was above acceptable for those colleges...
(Conn College, Bucknell, Dickinson, Gettysburg, Skidmore, St. Lawrence etc.)

A 2080 is a great score in my opinion. I have a friend who got accepted to West Point pretty early and he got a 2050. I dont know about the schools you mentioned, but you would probably still have a good chance of getting into any of them. I’m applying to the service academies and the average SAT score is about a 1900. Don’t worry what others say, especially people who are always talking about the ivies and forgetting about everything else, that is still a great score.

2080 is a great score

people on CC are insane. 2080 is great! seriously. anything over 2000 is way above average

2080 is great, this place is just totally ridiculous…

yes.. this forumn is wayyyy smart so no worries anything above 2000 is excellent.

lol, CC is pretty crazy (in a good way of course) :)

Sarah Lawrence doesn’t even look at your SAT scores (the only school which does this).

I only did slightly better than that, and I got into several Ivies.
Colleges are taking a more holistic approach to admissions, so test scores aren’t the only factors that matter.

i got a 2010 and CC is a world full of elitist erudite future leaders so dont worry.

Here’s a percentage table from College Board so you can see how you stack up.

Your scores are excellent and you have selected target schools very well. Many posters on CC seem to be aiming for ivy leagues and have an exaggerated sense of normal scores. Good luck in your applications.

It’s a terrific score, don’t let this place get to you.

well I think for one student whose first language is English, especially American, 2080 is not high enough. Spending 16 years in English speaking country should give you higher result then.

go back to sucking blood, dracula

Many, many people would kill for a 2080.

i wouldn’t say kill
perhaps beat with a rock

d-yu is a nerd. lol

people would kill. haha

Everyone on this thread is saying that a 2080 is “great” or “excellent”? I wouldn’t go THAT far.

panic, it’s better than 95th percentile (If I remember correctly)…
