<p>I don’t know if it’s credible. I am hopeful for others on the WL. I just wanted to link (since it’s in another thread) so that others could perhaps find out more.</p>
<p>FWIW, if you look at the Harvard WL discussion thread on cc, you’ll see that they have reason to believe that Harvard will be making a second round of offers to their WL this week, perhaps tomorrow. If they make offers to people who are now committed to Princeton, and if those people accept, then that would free up some slots at Princeton – a win-win for all concerned. That’s worth praying about, in any case.</p>

<p>Here’s an update to my last post: a new post by “pretzellogic” on the Harvard WL thread says the following:</p>
<p>“hey, so i just called admissions and the guy said decisions would be coming out ‘some time later this week’. but i don’t know if that confirms or disproves anything, because sometimes admissions gives conflicting info.”</p>

<p>Adaa…Dartmouth HAS rejected several from their WL and narrowed it considerably. I’m uncertain how many still remain; however, they haven’t called anyone yet that I’m aware of. To my knowledge, Princeton has not narrowed their list. Like you, I’m still hopeful, but that hope is fading with each passing day. Good luck!</p>
<p>@adaa: Given that Dean of Admissions Janet Rapelye was quoted last Friday in the Daily Princetonian as saying that there are still 867 people on the WL, I think that Princeton has not done any narrowing.</p>
<p>Harvard dropped a significant part of their waitlist in May, and Yale just did the same. I’m still hanging by a thread at Harvard, but got closed out at Yale this week. My first choice is Harvard, but I don’t hold out a lot of hope. Additional Harvard admits might open a spot or two at Princeton, but probably not more than that.</p>
<p>I don’t know why I’m staying on the Princeton waitlist because I expect to be rejected anyway, except that I’m a legacy and there’s some family pressure.</p>
