Illation, a warm congratuations to you!

S was accepted regular decision to Dartmouth. From Nassau County, Long Island, NY

ah i’m from nassau too! congrats both of you :)!

congratulations rubin and illation :D:D

thats some sort of a victory for the extended, tired, exhausted waitlist community :P

Yes, warm congratulations to rubin95 and illation. And thanks to adaa for helping us see this as a victory for our community. :-)

rubin95, we’d be grateful if you let us know whether your son decides to go to Princeton or stay with Dartmouth. Thanks!

Absolutely. He has to decide by Thursday at 3pm.

Hi guys -
Do you know whether there’s any hope left for we waitlist-ees who haven’t heard anything, or whether they’ve finished now? Do Princeton send out “sorry, you’re definitely not accepted” letters at some point, or is it just a case of “unless you hear from us, it’s a no”?

Also, I’m abroad at the moment, and therefore rather tricky to contact - is there any way of checking your status online?

Thanks, and sorry for rambling,
rman

ps. - HUGE congratulations to anyone who has been accepted!

heyy rman,

okay so the deadline for decisions is 30th june. If you haven’t heard anything until then that means you unfortunately didnt make it. They will email a letter on the 30th informing you that the wait list has been closed etc. As far as getting in touch with you goes, they call the number you provided them in your apps; it’s most probably going to be your cell phone otherwise they’ll try the landline. I strongly recommend you keep a check on both since they haven’t been known to email anyone (as far as we know).

Other than that, welcome to the waitlistees community where, as keephopealive puts it, we’re keeping hope alive. :)

Two kids at my school got into Princeton on waitlist pretty recently and both were about to go to Cornell and Dartmouth.

So do you know if they’re definitely going to Princeton? Thanks for the information btw

I got the call friday-they tried my cell phone, then the house phone

Whoa! Great news, Shoney! You must be thrilled. Are you going? If so, where had you deposited (if you don’t mind me asking)? What region do you live? M/F? URM by chance? Good luck wherever you might go!

S chose Princeton yesterday. Withdrawing Dartmouth acceptance. Good luck everyone.

I am from the northeast, I amdefinitely going to Princeton. I was going to go to UVA

rubin95, when your son got off the waitlist, how long did they give him to reply?

Congrats!! Shoney It was last Friday? Are you a boy or a girl?

dumb question… what area code did it come up when you guys got your calls? i keep getting calls from this random number i don’t know and i knowwww it’s not going to be princeton but i figured i’ll ask anyway…

A call we received some time ago from the Princeton Office of Admission came through as 609-258-3000 or 609-258-3060 – I forget which.

To collegesgirl - S given one week. Congrats on the acceptance to Dartmouth

thank you I am so happy . good luck to all
