wait-list acceptances

Are there any others out there who have still not received the 2014 class is full letter and have not heard anything at all from Princeton regarding their status?

Yes, ldspence. D still hasn’t.

@ldspence: Still waiting here.

Daughter is still waiting to hear, too.

Just checked the mail…still no letter. Original waitlist letter we received said something about list being closed on 6/30 (or so I think – don’t have it handy). Really makes me wonder if they received her response card. It was sent US mail – probably should have sent receipt acknowledgement/certified. But then again, you guys didn’t get anything either. Baffling.

I haven’t received mine either. I’m guessing they send letters out in batches or something?

At this point there seem to be five CC members who are still waiting for word from Princeton. Two have international mailing addresses, which could delay letters from Princeton, but three do not. Here they are, with the colleges I understand they (or their sons/daughters) plan to attend if they are not admitted to Princeton:

jc40: UVA
Lady Lorna: Thomas Aquinas College (do I understand rightly that she ended up choosing TAC over the offer from Columbia?)
ldspence: Cornell
KeepHopeAlive: Columbia
sharts05: Mount Holyoke

If anyone else out there is still waiting, let us know!

One member of our little band reports receiving a “class of 2014 is full” letter today – postmarked June 30. Perhaps others will receive letters from Princeton today or tomorrow.

Our family’s own mail has just come and gone for the day, and there is nothing from Princeton. Perhaps tomorrow…

Nothing in the mail for us today either.

Today’s mail came, and STILL nothing from Princeton…

Another member of our little band reports receiving a “class of 2014” is full letter today – also postmarked June 30. I believe that leaves three of us still waiting for news.

another waitister here with no news :(

So there are four of us still waiting for news. Here they are, with the colleges I understand they (or their sons/daughters) plan to attend if they are not admitted to Princeton:

Lady Lorna: Thomas Aquinas College (do I understand rightly that she ended up choosing TA over the offer from Columbia?)

If anyone else out there is still waiting, let us know!

Another member of our little band received the “class of 2014 is full” letter, so we’re back to just three people waiting for news.

The kid I know who got accepted in the most recent round (two weeks ago) was told that only two kids were accepted and that it was the last of it. Don’t know if that’s true. Just relaying and wishing everyone the best.

Thanks, mrscollege.

Just received the “Class of 2014” is full letter here. That leaves just sharts05 (who has an international mailing address), and perhaps Lady Lorna’s daughter (though Lady Lorna has not posted in several days).

KHA - :(. I was holding out hope.

Dear all,

Sharts05 received the “class of 2014 is full” letter today, so I think this discussion thread is coming to closure. Thank you to everyone who has shared thoughts of encouragement, wisdom, information, hope and compassion over these last months. It has meant a lot to us. I, for one, do not regret holding onto hope throughout the process.

To those who were admitted to Princeton: hearty congratulations to you on this great opportunity. I hope you will treat it as a gift of which you are stewards. To those who were not admitted to Princeton: you all have opportunities at GREAT schools, where I know you will do great work. I hope you will also treat those opportunities as stewardship.

Peace to you all.
