Wait List Help

I am currently wait listed at my top choice school. I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to things I can do that would be helpful. I am very motivated to change my wait list to an acceptance. I have sent a letter to my regional rep and would like to know from people who have been successful, what else is productive. The waiting is depressing and I need to do something.

thank you

I was also wait-listed to my top choice. I sent them a letter of continued interest in the school, updated transcripts, and included any important achievements at the time.

This is the website I used for information:
[Letter of Continued Interest - Tips for Writing a Letter of Continued Interest](How to Write a Letter of Continued Interest for Law School) — just change it up from “law school” to whatever it is you are doing :)

I wish you good luck.

The first question I would ask is how does your school use it’s waiting list. Some schools are notorious for wait-listing many and accepting few. Others accept a significant percentage of their wait list every year. You can get a rough read by checking out the Common Data Set for your school for the past few years.

Otherwise – if you have any significant accomplishments, awards, cures for cancer, etc. make sure to let them know.

Most important thing is to make sure you SIR to your backup.
