Letter from Georgetown said NO ONE accepted from wait list this year.

Whoa... seriously? This is for freshman, right?

Damn, it must have been a way higher yield than expected.

Umm. A bunch of people have been accepted off the waitlist man. It's really weird that the letter said that.

I got into Georgetown off of the wait-list. Do you remember how the letter said that nobody got off of the wait-list last year either? That too, apparently, was a lie. It's unfourtunate that they'd lie like that. Maybe they consider my being accepted (I found out like May 12) just a really late decision before the wait-list? I don't know; I can't figure out how to justify it so I won't.

Yeah, I got in too. Maybe they accepted a really, really small number. I don't know.

Hey,
Georgetown always uses their waitlist. I'm a rising junior and was one of the 100+ ppl that got off a couple of yrs ago. The DC Zoning board is extremely strict and Georgetown cannot overadmitt by a single person or faces huge fines. A decent percentage of my year were from the waitlist -- that was unusual, but still don't sweat it! Hope to have some of become Hoyas come fall.
