wait-list letter of interest

Short question: to whom should I send my Letter of Continuing Interest while being on wait-list?

  1. the dean of admission who actually signed my letter of offering wait-list and whose name and signature is displayed on my online college admission account
  2. the admission officer whom I found on the website to be coordinator of international students of the region where I live

I would be grateful for any advice!

Send them each a letter. You can email. Say that it is your top choice and you will attend if accepeted. Update with any new information and send updated grades. Understand that as an international, your chances are very remote if you need financial aid.

I’d only say a school is your top choice and “if admitted I will attend” if that is true. If you need aid perhaps say “if admitted and affordable I will attend.”

I’d probably send one letter to the person who signed the letter and cc the international coordinator on the email. Keep in short and sweet with any new accomplishments and a sentence or two about why you feel the school is a good fit/what you can offer that school.

Agree with above that odds are slim for an international needing financial aid but it is worth a try.
