Wait list Question

So…what exactly should we send in if we’re wait listed other than that little card they sent us. Obviously, I have to tell them that it’s still my first choice, but do I have to send in say…like a resume, recommendation, essay, extra works, etc.?

Help is appreciated, thanks =3

Be creative. I doubt they want “extra” recommendations, as they already believe that you are qualified to attend Brown. Think about your passions and how you can best communicate them to the Board of Admission. I sent in several additional items, but they revolved around my love for Brown; they were not additional interpretations of my intellectual abilities. As a fellow waitlistee, my biggest fear is annoying them, so definitely try to not send something too bothersome. Gimmicks are good, but they should be Brown-specific. I made one certain item for Brown, and although I could personalize it for other schools that have waitlisted me, I would not regard such a thing as ethical. So personalize and “Brownize” it. “It” could be a letter. A letter could indeed be enough. Who knows? But at least we have each other…Best of luck.

It really is too early to send in more supplements, things you send in will not be read after they actually do go into the waitlist (won’t know for sure before May 1st deadline).
