@yadart - I first received a phone call, and when I checked online my decision letter was changed and I was given access to the admitted students website. A few hours later I received an email, and then a few days later a package in the mail.

So I just called Yale and they said that the waitlist was not completely closed, which I assume means there’s an extended waitlist. They said that letters have gone out to everyone still on the waitlist letting them know if they’d been released or kept on.

Has anyone gotten an extended waitlist letter?

I got an email from Yale last week saying that they were still considering me but giving me the option of removing myself from the waitlist. If I wanted to stay on the waitlist, they said to do nothing.

Ha? I haven’t got such an e-mail either. 123 Hope and Yadart, did you send any additional material like a wait list letter or something during the last month.

Hmm, I think that is not the extended wait list letter.

I assume whoever sent a letter/material etc. would not have got that e-mail. If someone sends a letter, he/she is obviously showing interest in getting in, right? I hope Yale would not send such a letter to someone who showed interest. If they do, that means they don’t even look at our stuff!

But if Yadart and Hope 123 have sent letters…
