<p>nd in ALL above cases, did their online status change?</p>

<p>@yadart - I first received a phone call, and when I checked online my decision letter was changed and I was given access to the admitted students website. A few hours later I received an email, and then a few days later a package in the mail.</p>

<p>So I just called Yale and they said that the waitlist was not completely closed, which I assume means there’s an extended waitlist. They said that letters have gone out to everyone still on the waitlist letting them know if they’d been released or kept on.</p>

<p>From what it seems, no one has got one. I haven’t got any letter yet. But that must be because I am in Sri Lanka.</p>

<p>I got an email from Yale last week saying that they were still considering me but giving me the option of removing myself from the waitlist. If I wanted to stay on the waitlist, they said to do nothing.</p>
<p>^ we got that mail almost a month ago… how did you get it one week back?</p>

<p>Ha? I haven’t got such an e-mail either. 123 Hope and Yadart, did you send any additional material like a wait list letter or something during the last month.</p>
<p>That seems like the extended waitlist letter. I submitted a supplementary letter and I didn’t get any email either.</p>

<p>I assume whoever sent a letter/material etc. would not have got that e-mail. If someone sends a letter, he/she is obviously showing interest in getting in, right? I hope Yale would not send such a letter to someone who showed interest. If they do, that means they don’t even look at our stuff! </p>

<p>Just found out that some people who did send letters got that e-mail too. </p>
<p>Well, I don’t know what Yale will do. Just have to WAIT and see.</p>
