Wait List Thread

@Calculemus That’s the question!!! I can’t believe it’s May and we’re still stressing over college admissions. However, I spoke to the admissions office today and the guy who I spoke to told me that they are still reviewing applications and that they plan to accept more students from the waitlist. That means we’re still on the run!

He asked me where I’d heard about people getting in from the waitlist and when I said college confidential he laughed and said “i knew you were gonna say that” :))

Hah. You’d figure if you were in admissions, you’d read C.C. just to get a good laugh.

Does anyone know when they are releasing the next wave of admissions?

@antoniofm they gave us until the 26th of May to reply so i guess some time around then (?)

Honestly I’m so tired of waiting… I’m like the only one in my school still actively dealing with college app…

@aifusenno1 Same. All the waitlist decisions for my friends’ colleges are out.

Any news?

Well, I emailed my regional admissions guy and he said that we’d hear by mid June at the latest. Other than that I have not received any updates.

@mpusic417 Well that’s really awkward - didn’t think you’d be on here :stuck_out_tongue: (I wasn’t sure if it was a different Canadian, but your username let me know that it’s definitely you haha.)
Also - anyone else get an update or anything? I wasn’t released from the waitlist, but I also haven’t been accepted, and waiting is kind of driving me crazy. I feel like it’s emotional extortion to ask us to wait til mid June (although the original waitlist email said July 1, just sayin’)

havent been contacted at all, unless they called while no one was home, but then, why would they not contact by email anyways

I can’t believe I’ve essentially graduated already (senior project month) and I still don’t know for sure where I’m going to college.

Of all the ivyies, this is the quietest thread, anyone hear anything at all? the first wave was supposed to have answered by today?

I’ve reached a point where I kind of just want to be released from the waitlist so I can fully mentally commit to my chosen school. The fact that I know multiple people who got off the waitlist earlier is reallllllyyyy not helping me haha.

Alright… Just graduated today… still don’t know where to go next year…

@aifusenno1

Didn’t you already SIR at one school?

@StevenToCollege

Yea I did… My safety school. It would be great to end high school in the worst scenario…

It’s almost June! Can’t believe we’re still hanging here being tormented.

dont worry, im absolutely positive we’ll all be happy wherever we end up once we’re actually there and classes start…

and no, im not just saying that

I already chose my roommate at my other school… even if I got into Columbia at this point, switching would be so hard.
at least I have an excuse to avoid my placement test
