wait list: what can I do more?

Hey guys,
I was put on four wait-lists. I sent Letters of continued interest to all school and I am wondering what to do next. What can I do as not to “overdo”. What can I do more to increase my chances and make stand out somehow?

  1. I was thinking about calling dean or admission, but I am not sure what say. That I was wait-listed and by calling I wanted to emphasize that I am interested in school? Will not it be annyoing for admission? Since I sent the letter already, is calling to say that I am interested and it is my dream school okay?

Don’t call. You have done all you can. It is time to move away from the waitlist schools (where the odds of admittance are quite slim, particularly since you are an international requiring substantial aid). You need to move forward by focusing on the affordable schools which have admitted you either in the US or your home country.
