<p>From what I've heard they accept a little less than 9,000 applicants and about 4,000 of them accept their offer.</p>
<p>Do you think they have a wait list, or do you think that they don't need to since they accept so many people for the number of slots they have available?</p>
<p>Hey, I'm from San Jose too. Anyway, UC's don't have waitlists. You can be admitted for the Spring or Winter quarter though, I guess that is a sort of a Waitlist thing. It only happens when they don't think you're qualified enough to be in Fall quarter, but they do want you. Also, yes UCLA knows how many people will accept their offers overall even though they accepted a lot more. They accept a lot more so they can have the number that they want to come here. It's because if someone has amazing stats, it is more likely that they will go to Berkeley or an ivy league or something, you know?</p>
