Hello! I was just wondering what are the chances that I will get into a class that I was put on a wait list for, just so I can have some expectations on whether I’m gonna get into the class or not.
It’s hard to say; what class are you wait listed for? Classes with a high drop rate will give you a better chance of getting in. I have heard from others that you could go to the first class and talk to the professor about your situation; if you show initiative they will probably put more effort into letting you into the class if a spot opens up. Sometimes professors make their own waitlists in class for any wait listers that show up and go off that instead.
It’s for a soils class.
If that class is needed for your proposed major and not taking it next semester would delay taking other courses by all means email the professor/ your advisor with your dilemma. Otherwise have an alternative.
