My son was put on the wait list by WP. I was just wondering if anyone else who has been has gotten an appointment.

A friend of mine at school was rejected from USNA, NROTC, and AROTC, but got on the waiting list for WP. He was offered the appointment last week and accepted.

My son is on the waitlist and hasn't heard anything. He was told that letters and appointments will go out during the first 2 weeks of may. He recieved a 4 year army rotc scholarship to Virginia Tech so he has a back up plan.

My son did get a 4 year nrotc scholarship, and an appointment to USAFA, but I was just wondering if WP would still be an option. Sounds like it could be.

I was put on the wait list and received an appointment at the end of March. Hopeful2010, best of luck to your son - the waiting is a beast in itself sometimes.

army rotc hands out scholarships like candy. air force kicks people out. dont know about navy.

stop acting like you're in high school. wait a minute... aghhhh going to be an awesome summer

I feel your pain, MrG. :) Try not to kill any tadpoles.

"Don't know about Navy."

Navy doesn't have to worry about candy or kicking people out. People quit. Since the beginning of the year, my freshman class has lost 7 mids. We started with 22. 19 on scholarship.

Out of the three programs on campus, Navy/MC is definitely the most intense, hardcore, and professional unit in the building. Everytime we have a tri-service competition, Navy licks the competition. But at the same time, we definitely have the largest congtingent, totalling about 100 mids.
