Has anyone heard whether they have been accepted off the wait list?

People have already been accepted from the waitlist but there's a chance they could still take more - don't lose hope.

DEFINATELY send a letter to the admissions office if you haven't already. Detail everything you've been up to since you submitted your application, for example.. new clubs, teams you've joined, any new awards you've won, etc. Let them know that you are REALLY interested in W&L and that it is your FIRST CHOICE. W&L definatley gives an edge to those who display extreme interest :)

I heard that W&L was going into their wait list last week...we are waiting and hoping. Thanks for any information anyone can give us.

I just spent the night with a kid who just got taken off the waitlist. They're definitely continuing to cut into it... HereWeGo was correct about everything she said.

Oh and not to be a grammar Nazi, but for future reference, "definitely" is spelled with an i, not an a. That's probably the most common mistake I've ever seen... the etymological breakdown of the word means "of a finite nature."

How did your friend hear? Did they get a phone call, e-mail, or letter?

Hm sorry, I didn't ask. He's staying with my friend and leaving tomorrow... if I see him again I'll ask.

clover:

My son was accepted off of the waitlist, and was notified by a letter that was delivered via FedEx.

My daughter was notified the same way as collegedad's son - a Fed Ex delivery of an acceptance letter. It came on April 21st.

She'll be attending W&L; it was her first choice.

Very happy for your kids...here is hoping for good news for mine.

If anyone has any current information on whether they went into their wait list this week or last week would you let me know? How late into the month do they send their acceptances? Thanks

if I were you I would call the admissions office and just ask them straight out whether they were still sending out acceptance letters to wait list kids.

Good luck!

My son did get a letter last Wednesday offering him a spot in the fall. He accepted and is very excited about going to W&L.

good news..my child got in...

Congrats!!!

so happy for you -- and glad to have him in my son's class!
