anybody know anything about its progress?

i wish i knew more than just that we will probably find something out by the end of this week/beginning of next week.

The admissions office told me that all waitlist letters will be mailed this Monday, May14th. They would not comment as to whether anyone would be receiving offers from the waitlist though. (ie: the letters may be sent simply to notify waitlist applicants that Georgetown did not need to go to the waitlist this year.)

I know a person who found out on Thursday that she was taken off the waitlist. She knew the local woman who interviews for Georgetown.

Who did she find out from? Does this mean that all people probably got called? Clearly they are taking some people off the wait list then? Why would they not comment on whether they were taking people I wonder.....Bad sign???

All people that got in, i mean.

PS how did the person find out?

She found out from the person who interviews for Georgetown locally.

Okay, I view this as a good sign for wait listees in general. My interviewer doesn,t do that even for people that are accepted off the WL...it seems like she maybe knew the person closely who fed her the information early. This also is a clar indication that for the first time since 2005, Georgetown has activated its WL! So, however narrow, the chance does indeed exist.

has Anyone heard anything new? and what school did she apply to at GU?

argggg so frustrated*
post when you know waitlisters!!!
and maybe what you did since you found out you were waitlisted in terms of updates? yeah?

MTGoddess, what has GUs admissions office told you?

And I did the following: I sent an initial letter of interest re affirming my commitment to attending Georgetown, I then sent a second letter with a full update of my resume, Why I want to go to Georgetown so abdly and also an enclosed copy of an AP History 15 page thesis paper I had written and am getting published. Then I had two additional letters of recomendation written, one from a teacher/Student Council Moderator and the other from a family friend who is a business executive in Boston. I also cotntacted the Assistant Dean of UG admissions at GU to express my itnerest(he knows my alumni interviewer, so i metnioned him). Then I cotnacted the Dean and 3 assistant deans at Georgetown college, obv where I applied, and they forwarded my interest to UG admissions. Fianlyl, i palced a call of itnerest last week after the May 1 admitted enrollment deadline affirming my itnerest.

crog, one word: damn... I think I did less than half what you did with the 12 schools I applied to together... you deserve to come to Georgetown

IS THERE ANY NEWS ON GEORGETOWNS WAITLIST??? HAS ANYONE CALLED OR FOUND ANYTHING OUT??hAS ANYONE EHARD OR DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS HEARD?? excuse my flipping out, I justc ant stand the alck of information flowing from Georgetown to us with only 2 days remaining before we find out.

Okay so ive ehard people have been getting calls that they are in so ive basically given up hope on georgetown.

Where have you heard that people are getting calls that they are off the waitlist? For what college? I haven't heard anything like that.

i havn't gotten a call; i havn't heard of anyone getting a call-
i suppose we'll all get a letter sometime this week letting us know either way
goodluck to all
