Anything to do to increase chances of getting accepted off wait list? Is there any hope in still getting accepted?

I got waitlisted as well, and even though im hoping to get accepted off of it, the chances seem slim.

supposedly they overaccepted kids this year…? i know in 2006 they took roughly 500 kids, 2007 they took none, and last year they took 300.

But you could write a letter updating them on what you have done since you applied, and still showing that it’s your number one choice…
You should also send them your 7th semester grades since they requested them, and that would definetly help if you did well.

Has anyone who was wait listed heard back or is it far too early to hear?

I don’t think anyone waitlisted from Mid-April has heard. Someone on the forums here who was waitlisted in March has been accecpted, but that was to the Music program.

For LSA/Engineering I don’t think the chance of getting off the waitlist is good.

I was notified that i got wait listed on April 23. Then i sent an update letter to the office of admission. I got accepted to LSA like three days later.

ashash09- really??

were you accepted to the summer term…or fall?

what did you write in your letter? did you send in your grades?

i was accepted for the fall. on my update letter, i wrote about the extra circular activities i have done over the last six months. and i sent in my grades.

oo ok

did u have really high grades? like much higher than the gpa you sent during when you initially applied?
