Today I found out I was wait listed at the conservatory for oboe performance. What is the likelihood of being accepted later, or should I just give up on Oberlin? Even if I get accepted eventually, I'm guessing the financial aid will be pretty poor. It was my top choice, but I've been accepted to Northwestern and CMU, so...

@knopio - congrats on your great acceptances!!!

You might want to ask your question about waitlisting at Oberlin over at the Music Forum:

Conservatory waitlists are really unpredictable. It really depends on what the accepted students decide to do. I am guessing that Oberlin only has one oboe professor. I would contact the school and see if they have any advice for you. It really could go either way.
