Hey, I applied to SUNY New Paltz in early November, early action. When early action decisions came home in December for most students, New Paltz said nothing about my application status, and simply asked for my mid-year grades. Once my mid-year grades were available (in February) I sent them in ASAP. My grades were all 90's. My gpa for the 2 quarters combined was a 95. I just heard today (mid march) that I have been placed on a wait list. This is unfortunate, I really want to go to New Paltz. Any suggestions for what I should do? What are my chances of getting off of the waitlist and accepted?

What is/was your gpa?

86 when I applied. 87 now. I had some issues in my freshman and part of my sophomore year (which I explained in my essay) I’ve taken honors for history and english throughout HS and regents math and science. My gpa freshman year was an 81, sophomore 87, junior 93, this year 95
