Wait-Listed Athlete

Hi,

I was wait-listed at WashU last month where I was hoping to walk-on as a varsity baseball player. I have heard that updating colleges about new achievements would give me an upper hand at being selected off the wait list, and I planned to do that. I also heard that athletic coaches may help potential athletes earn admission to their school. I know that my high school baseball coach has contacted WashU’s coach. Should I reach out to their coach to see if he can help me get off the wait list and find my way in St. Louis next semester? Does anybody have any other tips to be selected off of the wait list? I know WashU is notorious for wait-listing applicants and sometimes not even selecting any, but I’m willing to give it a shot.

Thanks in advance!

You have nothing to lose by contacting the coach at this point. Do it.

Alright, I will make sure to do that. Thank you!
