Wait-listed Chance

I have a friend who got wait-listed at Clemson, he is OSS ; do you know what are chances of getting off the wait-listed...

We need stats

last year 162 students accepted a spot on the wait-list
22% of these students were eventually accepted to Clemson

however if you read this article:
[Clemson to give 10,000 potential freshman a chance | GreenvilleOnline.com | The Greenville News](http://www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20090215/NEWS01/902150334/1012)

It says that clemson accepted more students than normal so if more student accept Clemson’s offer of admissions, your wait-list chances go down (probably below the 22% of last year)

as with every wait-listed student I tell them 3 things

write a letter to clemson saying why you are interested in the school and state that you will 100% attend the school if accepted (since they will only take students that they think will definitely want to go to clemson) and ask that letter to be put in your admissions file for review

continue to keep clemson updated on any grades or achievements

DON’T SLACK OFF IN SCHOOL! Grades are still very important

Good luck to your friend!
