What are the chances of getting into UCD from the waitlist?
It varies from year to year. Last year only 8 applicants were accepted from the waitlist. It will all depend upon how many SIR by the May 1 deadline. Best thing you can do is move on and if you get in, then you have a good reaspn to celebrate.

@PerrisPanther: Here is a link which shows all the waitlist Stats for all UC’s last year. Due to budget issues, I think more applicant were waitlisted this year and hopefully more will also be accepted.

Wow! Only eight…and I was giving myself some hope lately.
I’ll take everyone’s advice and accept another university’s offer and wait in the meantime.

Regardless if you accept the waitlist, you still need to SIR to another school since most waitlisted applicants will hear after the May 1 deadline.
So who has submitted their wait list statement? I wonder what the chances of being admitted off the wait list are for this year. Also the deadline was extended another two days, can anyone guess why?
Will Appeals, and Waitlist come out together? Also do they look at appeals the same time they look at waitlists?
Would calling the admissions office for people who got waitlist have a higher chance of getting accepted?
Omg around 9000 applicants were waitlisted to davis this year!
Not sure if I should feel good or bad with so many waitlisted students…because:
- At least I’m not alone
- Holy Schmoly, depending on how many people opted in, that’s a lot of competition to deal with

2014=12 wait list admits; 2013=1071 wla; 2012=12 wla; 2011=871 wla. Let’s hope for an every other year pattern! This is the year for larger pool of wait list admits! Think positive everybody.

Any news for waitlisters? I heard appeal ppl started receiving notices (both acceptances and rejections).
Only decisions for appeals have been sent out, it seems.
It’s May 1st, so us waitlisted people can be counting on receiving our decisions in the following days.

Still nothing. Other UC threads seem to point to Berkeley, UCLA, & San Diego to figure out their lists first, then trickle over to the rest of UC campuses. Makes sense… but means we may not find out for awhile.
