Wait-listed OOS

Just wanted your opinion guys,

I am from a top 100 public HS in NY, I have about a 3.7 gpa, a 1900+ SAT, 1250 for the 2, over 400 hours of community service, and varsity football along with various clubs.

I got wait-listed, but my friends are saying a ton of people with inferior stats are getting in?

Do I get in wait-list? Or not worth it.

What is your ranking? Could you break down the 1250?

I just got waitlisted too but I got a 30 on my ACT, so I thought that meant I was an auto admit. I am really confused.

explodefireworks - It is not just a 30 ACT for auto admit. There is more to it than that: What was your class rank? have to be in top 25%. What was your Math & English portion of the ACT, they both have to be a 27. Did you take the writing portion along with the ACT? you have to take the writing portion at the same time.
AND
There is also a required corsework you have to take in High School
AND
You have to meet the state of Texas Uniform Admissions Policy (dont have a clue what this means)
AND
all credentials have to be received by the freshman closing date

Here is that Texas Uniform Admissions Policy:
http://admissions.tamu.edu/forms/EquivCourses0708AndAfter.pdf

im in the top 20% of my class, I got a 33 on my english and math for the act. and everything was received on time.

explodefireworks, that is perplexing, because, based on the info you gave, that would put you in the automatic admit category. There must be something under the other requirements that you are unaware of that did not get fulfilled. I would call admissions and ask. It can’t hurt.

i emailed them. so ill see what happens
