Answers have to be in by 3pm Friday so you may be starting to get calls by 5 or 5:30 EDST. It's not that many people so they could start making some calls right away.

I was one of the lucky 86 picked off the waitlist. I visited Princeton this week...... all I can say is WOW. I will be enrolling!!!

Ivy congratulations.!!!

so does anyone know how many people will reject the acceptance from waitlist offer?

I still want to go but I didn't get a call =(

i think the next round of calling will be on monday... or maybe there wont be a next round...

any updates, or is it over?

seems to be over...sigh

well its memorial day

Give them a few more days

hmmm... im thinking its done by now...

Colleagues son just got a call yesterday. He probably wont accept, so dont give up just yet!

when does the waitlist officially close?

When they're full :). I hear that in previous years they have accepted off the waitlist as late as July, though I'm sure at that point it's probably only one or maybe a couple of students. You never know when people are going to leave because they were accepted off other waitlists or decide not attend Princeton for others reasons, after all.

yo but when is the official date when everything ends. just wondering

It's been over for a week or two.

sorry to revive an old thread but…to those who got in off the wait list, did you apply for finaid?

SO as sadly as it may seem some people get perfect grades and graduate with honors and could be in the top 3% of their class. But yet they get wait listed!!! WHY??? its all statistics.
Rule#1 when applying for ivy league schools make sure you have an in! usually your parents are alumni of this school.
Rule #2 atleast if your parents are not former alumni of the school your trying to get in, at least have a relative working for the school!!
Rule#3 NEVER EVER BE SAT ON GETTING IN AT AN IVY LEAGUE!!! remember there are kids who live in the " O C" west hills, the Hampton who’s parents are some really popular celebs and never had to attend any school because they have always had a personal tutor and teacher. remember the kids who get first choice of picks are former alumni politicians then celebs then its based on your parents earnings and well then comes some of us who have been put on a wait list AKA LOTTERY!!! as I can personally admit I had a family member who worked at Stanford. and needless to say I could have went to Stanford. But as I once was told by a professor Its not where you obtain your higher education Its what you make of it. GO DUCKS!!!

@yubasutter

COMPLETELY disagree. That stereotype is ridiculous. My parents make less than 40k and they’re putting two other kids through college. I have no connections.

Please don’t make generalizations.
