<p>My S received a letter yesterday stating that QU is holding off on admitting any more students so that they "will not exceed our projected enrollment". It also says that although his "academic criteria does meet our standards for admission" and they would "want to offer you admission" they are wait listing him until they know if they have space available. He didn't apply until mid Jan.</p>
<p>Any idea if he continues on active wait list whether he would still get any financial aid or scholarships? They don't even know if they can let him know by May 1st or not whether he's admitted. QU was at one time one of his top choices.</p>
<p>"He's an average student (3.5 GPA), SATS: math 640, verbal 570, writing 510. He could do better, but would never be mistaken for an overachiever. As a Sr next year, while all his classes will be honors, he decided not to take any AP (although he took AP history this yr). Our HS has block scheduling and only 4 classes a day. Grades have improved each year, although this year was his hardest academically."</p>
<p>This was a year ago. He took the SATs again, but not a huge improvement. I think it was more the timing of his application...very near the deadline. He had been in touch with the xc/track coach, but kind of lost interest in going there and didn't pursue it.</p>
<p>He ended up going to UMass-Lowell, where he is on the xc and track teams. He's very happy with his decision. He's got a 3.3 avg his 1st semester.</p>
