Today I got mail from Mines saying that I have been wait listed. I’m a little surprised, because I felt my stats were solid and I have been accepted to similarly selective schools already.

I used their free application on their website, so no extracurriculars.
Have a couple work experiences, but don’t recall whether or not I forgot to list it.
Same here-high stats-applied in November. I think they admitted too many, too soon and then had so many apply with the free application and couldn’t handle the influx of applicants. I know for a fact there are some who applied earlier, got in and have much lower stats than I do.
The free application isn’t new, is it?
Write the “optional” essay in the application!
