I am so sorry about this.
Yes, we have connections and SPS did NOT tell us that if i wanted a spot i could have it. If they did, they would have admitted me.
My mother just came home and cleared this up for me.

I was waitlisted at Lawrenceville and it's driving me nuts!

Thanks for clearing this up itsren. And, congrats again on your two acceptances to two wonderful schools! :)

Thanks! Still awaiting Taft and Andover, two of the three schools i am spazztic about. (SAS is the other one)

Does anyone know about the waitlist situation at Deerfield?

SPS does indeed do courtesy calls to alumni whose children are waitlisted or not admitted. I received a call this weekend because my son was waitlisted.

Quenn - hi...what's you next move on the wait list situation?

We will evaluate whether he wishes to remain on the waitlist or not. He has an acceptance and another waitlist at his first choice schools, so in all likelihood we will ask to be taken off the waitlist.

Is it worth being on the waitlist if I got waitlisted at Lawrenceville and Peddie?

lawrenceville yes. i heard it was short.

For some reason, I'm kind of ecstatic about being on the waitlist for Exeter. As a junior applicant with horrible SSATs, I'm really proud of myself. It'd be a fairytale to be taken off of the waitlist, but in all honesty, Exeter was my third choice of 3! So, I'm just happily anticipating my next 2 letters, and if I get accepted into any of them, I'll take myself off. If not... I'll fight for my chance to attend ;].

In the meanwhile, waitlisted people... you just got WAITLISTED TO SOME OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY. It's disappointing not to get accepted, but the fact that we didn't get denied is astonishing in itself. Congratulations!!

GO US.

i got waitlisted at exeter and groton so far and accepted to sps. is it worthwhile staying on the waitlists?

Waitlisted at SPS and Groton :(

yes, does anyone know which schools have relatively short waiting lists and therefore somewhat hopeful?
