So who all is staying on the wait list? Do you think Brown’s wait list will be harder to be accepted from this year, given the increase in applications?

The chances of being admitted from the waitlist are not a function of the total application received, but of the projected yield rate: ie, how many they have admitted to fill their projected class size, and how many of those admittees decide to enroll.

The RD yield would be 46.3%, based on the total number of acceptance letters sent so far, (2,463), and the projected class size of 1,440.

If the projected yield rate of nearly 59%, or the 46.3% RD yield estimate, proves to be too optimistic, then slots will be filled from the waitlist. Last year, they matriculated 1,429 of 2,504 admits for an overall yield rate of 56.8%.

If the eventual yield is closer to last year's figure, it may mean as many as 40 will be taken from the waitlist.

Brownsurfer I don't think they like us Austinites.
Are you going to try and contact them to try and get an interview b/c the lady wouldn't give anyone an interview?

I am staying on the waitlist though, it is the best thing for me to do right now.

I had an interview.
